Field Service Engineer Marine 4-stroke

 

Everllence is seeking a Field Service Engineer 4-Stroke to join its service team in Schiedam. In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on advanced 4-stroke marine engines operating worldwide. The role combines technical execution with on-site coordination and support. You will contribute to maintaining performance, reliability, and operational efficiency of marine installations, both during planned service activities and in response to technical issues. 

As a Field Service Engineer, you perform maintenance and service work on 4-stroke marine engines at customer sites. You provide technical support throughout different project phases and ensure that work is executed in accordance with quality and HSE standards.

Your role:

  • Perform planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance on 4-stroke marine engines
  • Lead service technicians during maintenance, commissioning, performance testing and root cause analyses
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under real operational conditions
  • Execute vibration measurements and analyze data to drive predictive maintenance
  • Install, implement, and troubleshoot field service solutions
  • Deliver operational support throughout all project phases
  • Identify spare parts requirements and ensure efficient service execution
  • Analyze maintenance data and proactively suggest technical improvements
  • Work strictly according to HSE standards, ensuring safety is always the top priority
  • Take ownership of individual tasks and sub-packages within larger service projects

Your qualifications: 

  • You are an experienced Marine Engineer or Field Service Technician with at least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • You have solid knowledge of electronic and pneumatic systems within marine or industrial environments.
  • You are able to work independently on site while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • You perform well under time pressure and combine strong technical insight with commercial awareness.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel frequently across Europe, sometimes on short notice (valid driver’s license and passport required).
  • You have a good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • You are currently based in the Rotterdam / The Hague region and hold a valid EU passport.

  • A competitive gross monthly salary between €3,600 and €4,900 (Scale F), depending on your experience and expertise
