To strengthen our Customer Service Department (CSD) in Antwerp, we are looking for a proactive and ambitious Senior Internal Sales professional who will play a key role in both the commercial success and daily coordination of our Internal Sales team.

This is not a traditional internal sales position. As Senior Internal Sales, you will act as the driving force within the department, taking ownership of customer relationships, leading commercial follow-up activities, coaching colleagues, and ensuring outstanding customer service. You will work closely with the After Sales Manager Benelux and contribute directly to the growth and performance of the business.

Your role:

  • Act as the senior commercial contact for customers across the Benelux region and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Take ownership of the complete quotation process, from customer inquiry to order realization.
  • Proactively follow up quotations and commercial opportunities by telephone, email, and customer visits when required.
  • Drive quotation conversion rates and maximize order intake through active customer engagement.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the existing customer base and support business growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team and Key Account Managers to support commercial objectives.
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and support to Internal Sales colleagues.
  • Coordinate daily priorities and workload within the Internal Sales team.
  • Ensure all open quotations are actively followed up and challenge team members to achieve commercial targets.
  • Coordinate holiday planning and team availability to ensure business continuity.
  • Act as the key operational counterpart to the After Sales Manager Benelux and provide daily updates on team performance, commercial opportunities, customer developments, and operational priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Workshop, Field Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor margins, profitability, deliveries, invoicing, and overall commercial performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, response times, efficiency, and team performance.
  • Act as a role model within the department by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and customer focus.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commercial Economics, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Internal Sales, After Sales, Customer Service, Spare Parts Sales, Service Sales, or a similar commercial role within a technical environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate, coach, or guide colleagues in a professional environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a passion for customer interaction and business development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident personality with the ability to influence, motivate, and challenge others positively.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Willing to visit customers when required.
  • Experience with SAP, CRM systems, Power BI, or similar software is considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Based within commuting distance of Antwerp and available to work from the office five days per week.
