As Foreman Workshop, you will coordinate and supervise all workshop activities, ensuring high-quality servicing, repairs, and overhauls of turbochargers and related components. You will lead a team of engineers, provide technical support, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Your role: 

  • Lead the workshop team: Start your day by organizing and distributing tasks among engineers, ensuring everyone knows their priorities.
  • Hands-on technical work: Dive into complex servicing and overhauls of turbochargers—disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts using advanced tools and machinery.
  • Quality & safety first: Monitor progress and check completed work, making sure everything meets strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Problem-solving on the spot: Inspect faults, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert advice to your team and the Head of Technical.
  • Keep things running smoothly: Maintain workshop equipment, manage consumables, and implement new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Team coaching: Motivate and guide your engineers, support their training, and ensure everyone works safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate & communicate: Join toolbox meetings, share updates with management, and occasionally interact with customers visiting the workshop.

Who you are:

  • Technical education with a strong foundation at an intermediate vocational level.
  • In-depth mechanical expertise, particularly with rotating equipment and turbochargers.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and skilled in using workshop tools and machinery.
  • Proven leadership experience, capable of inspiring and managing a high-performing team.
  • Certified and safety-conscious, holding VCA VOL certification, a forklift license, and a “Safe Freight Movement” certificate.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
  • Fluent in English, with Dutch language skills considered an advantage.
  • Valid driving license required.
